Music In Motion
When Music Moves Through a Woman
Where do we find inspiration, and what does it look like?
There are rare moments when music does not simply touch our ears, but flows through us—turning sound into strokes of vivid color. In this series, I capture those sublime moments when a musician completely surrenders to the melody, and her body becomes the instrument itself.
This journey began thirty years ago at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, through Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto performed by the legendary Jacqueline du Pré. Her raw, tempestuous playing felt prophetic—mirroring both the piece’s melancholy and her own future tragedy with multiple sclerosis.
Through distilled freeze-frames of peak motion, the paintings emerge with hidden notes of the score woven across each canvas. Beside the cello works, the violinists embody the vibrant turbulence of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons—uniting body, bow, and string into one continuous visual rhythm.

The reality within me creates reality; the world is reflected in countless fragments within the soul.
